D Prime 215 never disappoints when it comes to quick-witted punchlines, genius wordplay, and an impeccable flow. “10,000 Flowers” is no exception. “I’m a renegade when I hear the beat it’s time to mutilate, put the blade to my vein.”

The video begins with Prime catching up with some friends who notice flowers on his attire. He then breaks down the formula for them, “10,000 hours can lead to mastery. One thing we should master is giving love to those who love us. 10,000 Flowers. One Flower Per Hour. Love with the intent of mastering it. Wake Up. Press Play. Love Yours. One.

That quickly transcends into the depth of the track, fueled with four minutes of lyrical jewels and gems that encompass Prime’s personal truths, booth profession shine, and an empowering lifestyle. Johann Sebastian provides a 70’s vibe with funky bass while DJ Soulbuck swarms in to heighten the paragon with his signature ‘fix your face’ cuts and scratches.

D Prime 215 x Johann Sebastian "What They Tell Us" Video

Philly’s own prolific emcee, D Prime 215 delivers more mind-blowing realities in his latest video “What They Tell Us.” The single/video, produced by Johann Sebastian, is off Prime’s latest “Sacred Mantra” EP, available on all major platforms.

“Mass media controls how many people get their news. The issue is, it’s not always accurate or close to it. When it comes to Black Folk, accurate isn’t even a thought most of the time. Negative statistics and stereotypes permeate the media as the overpowering narrative. This one-sided narrative is viewed as Gospel by those who don’t come in to contact with Black Folk on a regular basis if at all. As a Black Man, being viewed as the sum of negativity is asinine to me, as if that’s ALL we are. This record is my 2 Cents on it. I present to you “What They Tell Us.” Press Play.” – D Prime 215

The video is a simple one, just  Prime walking through his city of brotherly love. Because of his intricate wordplay and ingenious lyricism, there’s no need for gimmicks to entice viewers in. Also, a mini-film or animation, etc., would just take away from Prime’s lyrical declaration.

Prime addresses stereotypes placed on African Americans repeatedly for centuries. He also claims his human stance, free of felonies and other negative connotations. He goes on to mention that deliberately damaging advancements for African Americans must come to an end.  It makes you raise an eyebrow and wonder if others were just born jealous.  Prime delivers his revolutionary rhymes over chilling, hair-raising production blended with classic cuts and scratches. Watch “What They Tell Us” and connect with D Prime 215 and Johann Sebastian below.

About D Prime 215

Draco, Rich Quick, & The Keen One "Nobody Cares" (Lyric Video)

Draco releases a lyric video for “Nobody Cares” featuring the late Rich Quick and The Keen One. The single is off Draco’s latest project titled ‘Waterproof’.

The Philly based, unorthodox emcee, curated a record to shake cores and awaken senses. “Nobody Cares” captures the demise of relationships, loyalty, classy women, and even kids playing outside due to the technical hands of Social Media.

Draco sets off the universal message to log off and reload interpersonal skills and relationships, starting with the image in the mirror. As his legacy lives on, so does Rich Quick’s incomparable lyricism.  His wordplay depicts robotic newsfeeds posted by posers. Draco and Quick see through them and call them out along with their unpaid bills, twerking asses, and failed relationships.

The Keen One knocks out the finale with reminiscent wordplay. Remember playing outside until the streetlights shone? Remember leaving the house not caring if the phone was ringing? Remember nature? Remember face to face conversations?

The copacetic and hypnotic sounds of piano keys and drums blended with Hip-Hop cadences are sure to shake up the humanism in all of us! Watch the lyric video for “Nobody Cares” and connect with Draco below.

D Prime 215 "Reasons Why" Video

D Prime 215 returns for the 2nd video release of his “Sacred Mantra” EP.  “Reasons Why” produced by Has-Lo, is a tell-all into Prime’s world of emceeing, dating back to 93’.

“Every artist has their “Reasons Why” they create. Some for the sake of it, as a means to an end, tell stories, impress others, or all the above. For me, it’s all the above. However, as I grow as a person it inevitably bleeds into my music. There’s a lot going on in the world that affects me in a way that may be different from others. It’s inevitable that I address it. Especially in my city of Philadelphia. Let it be gentrification, school closings, “misallocation” of funds for public schools & inner city, crime, questioning the prison system, or the school to prison pipeline to name a few. I see these things firsthand, and I wanted to make it evident that Philly is a lot more than merely cheesesteaks and the Liberty Bell. It’s Philly all day over here, the presentation may be different from what you’re used to. It’s more than simply “rap” to me, that being said I was out for blood on this.” – D Prime 215

The Philly native utilizes his mastered skillset of storytelling to embody the world around him, ongoing societal issues, as well as what he represents. In “Reasons Why” Prime vividly portrays reasons for putting his life into the pen and being a voice for those on the other side of the fence.  Bar for bar he breaks down gentrification, tainted school systems, inner-city crime hidden behind Philly’s tourist attractions, and other community distresses.

Has-Lo’s intense piano keys blended with soulful bass and drums invite listeners to feel the emotion and vibrations from Prime’s polished and compelling storytelling. Watch “Reasons Why” and connect with D Prime 215 and Has-Lo below.

Philly Native Draco Releases "Waterproof" Project

Philly based artist Draco debuts his 'Waterproof' project,  available now on major streaming platforms. The highly anticipated project features Jessie, Elsetinow, PhrOzen, 3T3N, Thekeenone, and the late great Rich Quick.

Draco holds not stops and unleashes a lyrical monstrosity set to have sideline rappers and fraudulent beings falling waist side. The first track, 'Waterproof' reinforces his ability to continue moving forward through the tainted seasons and grey skies. He's turning a new page and watching the old ones blaze. Over electric tones, he declares truth over lies and a life of no regrets.

Over trance induced soulful undertones and bass, Draco indulges into childhood memoirs of pain and ruthlessness in 'Chronox.' He recalls periods of putting everyone above himself and harps how crime and kindness birthed his future.

'Nobody Cares' is a direct hit against social media and the destruction it causes including force-fed lies, an end-all to relationships, and an era of hopeless facades.  The upbeat tempos and piano keys add a slight comic relief to the critical message.

Draco spews volatile wordplay backed by blaring horns in 'Tokyo Drifter.'  Vividly he describes an act of plotful revenge that no one will see coming and leaves no window room for self-defense.

'Locked N Loaded' tears apart weak emcees limb from limb by means of Draco's lyrical shotgun. He delivers gritty, in your face sinister punchlines over heavy bass.  This track leads listeners right into the finale of 'You Dunno Me.' Draco sends warning shots and declares his stance in and out of the industry. With a heart built with guns and roses, he leaves a stench of fear and intimidation for rappers to inhale.

The project displays Draco's unorthodox style as well as his candid ability to flow over diverse soundscapes including soulful tones, upbeat tempos, spellbound undertones, and intense knocking beats. Stream 'Waterproof' and connect with Draco below.

Dumb Ugly release visuals for the first single off their debut album “Casket”, set to release on April 14th, 2019.

“Stay Dead” is a mini film luring viewers into their bizarre, ‘Clockwork Orange’ circus. It begins with an irate man calling an Uber to break free from his alcohol consuming, pregnant lover.
