After several years spent writing hits for some of today’s biggest names in music, New Orleans-born artist, Howie Tizzle, decided it was time to start commercially releasing his own music. His first single release, “Monopoly Money,” via CMUSICNME 777 Productions, marks a big first step towards Howie making the transition from writer to performer.
Able to draw inspiration from everything around him, Howie crafted the idea for “Monopoly Money” while staring at a new blue hundred dollar bill and saying to himself “this looks fake, damn don't this new money look just like Monopoly Money.” Harmonic vocals, backed by an energetic, chest-pounding instrumental, makes “Monopoly Money,” a surefire banger, no matter if it’s heard in the club, in your car, or on your phone. Howie’s unique cadence adds an intriguing feel to the record and easily draws you in, while his vivid lyrics, paint a clear picture of life with a stash of C-Notes.
Although this may be your first introduction to Howie Tizzle, he is geared up and ready for a busy fall, which will see the release of the official video for “Monopoly Money,” him performing all over Southern California, and him drop even more hits. The transition from full-time songwriter to performing artist has had its challenges, but Howie using the obstacles as opportunities and continues to evolve as not only as music artist but a human being.
