Curt - Champange & Songz

Houston, Texas-based MC Curt is here with his new single "Champagne & Songz". On it, he takes the time to uplift and inspire, something that is always needed in hip-hop and life in general. Though it carries a very happy and light-hearted feel, the song was crafted in the midst of to some rough times for Curt, as noted by the artist himself:

"This song was created at one of the lowest points in my life, a depression I guess you can say. I cried & prayed more than I’ve ever cried or prayed in my life. I stayed positive writing this song, actually thinking the worse in the back of my head. I hope you all enjoy." - Curt

Life is not always easy and tracks like these can be the ones to give you the extra boost to get by. The overall feel-good vibe on it is downright addictive. Peep the track below in full and look for more to come from Curt and his camp in the future.

Judson Wright - Palm Trees

Mississippi's Judson Wright is still very young in his career as a solo musician, but sometimes youth means very little in comparison to quality. This is very much the case for Judson with his new single "Palm Trees". You would be hard pressed to find a comparable sound, as the musician's knack for genre-bending sounds shines brightly. Infectious hooks, meaningful lyrics, and self-production drive the single.

Within the message of Palm Trees is an expression of a man at his breaking point. Judson Wright both raps and sings, full of anxious excitement, about denying dissatisfaction and breaking through depression to pursue his full potential. It's seldom that you will find a song that balances both being extremely catchy and carrying such a message of positivity that people need to hear. This is just the second release from Judson Wright, with "Original"  dropping prior to it.

After Performing at SXSW, GNA Releases "NO HOOK"

gna-releases-no-hook

The beat was originally meant for an intro, but the more GNA wrote to it.. the more it felt like a full out track. Writing this was therapeutic for her because she's never really spoken on some of the things mentioned in the song.

So far, this is one of GNA's favorite songs. She's been getting a bunch of messages from different people telling her how much it’s touched them and how much they can relate to it.

rell-jerv-releases-nude

"Nude" is the 2nd of 3 singles, Rell Jerv is dropping on the internet. Apart from the first single, "Cheated on Yourself" - this track is sexier and has a dope R&B chorus, that gives it a club vibe.

Jerv is an emerging artist out of Delaware who's been featured on the likes of Miss Info, theSource, HipHopWeekly, and RollingOut Magazine. The single was producers by the Mak3rs.

"Nude is really just a sexy song. Everyone makes songs about women on sex and things like that, so we really wanted to think outside of the box lyrically on this song. I didn't want to be too forward in what I was saying, so I really took time to say things in different ways that painted a picture of what was going on as opposed to coming right out and saying it.

Turns out that a lot of females like that because it's not degrading in any way but more of a vibe, something you can move to or sit back and visualize." - Rell Jerv
