An emerging Charlotte, NC rapper, who goes by "Hotboy Lil Shaq", has just signed with powerhouse entertainment label Social Currency Enterprises, headed by King Carter (manager of DaBaby). This move seeks to add to an already dope roster consisting of ZayTheGOAT, Littlejohn4K, Tianis Rose, Young Sunny Boy, and Fast Cash Boyz.
The label will be commemorating the moment with a signing party at the Monarch Room in Charlotte, NC, 10/17/2020.

New era Hip-Hop artist, +Detox The Kid returns with his highly infectious new single, "Checkpoint," which is accompanied by an extremely entertaining video, that is sure to permanently imprint Detox into your memory. Detox recently performed the record at this year's SXSW (Detox opened up for +Cappadonna of the +WuTangClanVEVO ). The video was shot by +krucifixproductions , in Charlotte, NC, and features Detox having fun with friends at the kickback, traversing the city in search of new gear, and eventually reaching his "Checkpoint" at a hype cookout, surrounded by friends and family.
Trent Hudson, better known as “Detox The Kid” was born on January 22, 1999, and is a native of Charlotte, NC, who grew up inspired by a family of musicians. Detox immediately started imitating his musical family members and began writing rhymes at the age of 7. As his love and devotion for music grew rapidly, he began to perform for his family, friends, and everyone he came in contact with by the age of 9 years old. Even though he became very focused on his craft, Trent remained a top-performing student and started influencing other peers to pursue their dreams. Detox is currently gearing up for the "Checkpoint" Promo Tour Florida Edition, which is set to start Saturday, July 23, 2016, in Tampa Bay.
