After 5 years with DTP, Lyriq was forced to part ways with the label for lack of financial support, causing his group, B.X.C to halt as well. During that time, he and B.X.C toured 15 different cities, each yielding crowds of more than ten thousand fans.
After 16 years in, Lyriq refuses to let his fire dwindle. He now heads his label YANK (Young and N Kontrol) with aspirations to dominate the music arena in Chicago. He now goes by his biological name Alexander Blane and with the recent release of "Comfortable," he sets out to reclaim his spot at the forefront of future music.
