Read more on THECLECTIK:
Currently residing in Bend, OR THECLECTIK has played in various styles of bands on multiple instruments since the start of his musical journey. Guitar, Drums, Keyboards were a main outlet of creativity, later to be armed with the MPC 2000. All instruments are typically self-produced unless otherwise noted.

Dusty vinyl and his ability to create songs by ear led him to produce similar to his influences Massive Attack, DJ Shadow, Portishead, and the Gorillaz. Heavily influenced by the early rave culture, hip-h, and the constant blooming of music’s ever-changing nature, THECLECTIK furthered his songwriting techniques and merged his love for all styles birthing the moniker THECLECTIK. Emo rock hop, as he puts it, at times is his mashed-up take on the artistic world.
Ethereal delicate sounds, sweeping electronic textures, melodic synths fused with gritty dark or funky guitar riffs. His creations ride the pulse of hip-hop styled beats, retro sounds, and flairs of electronica. With features from MC’s, Vocalists, and lending his own vocal styles, THECLECTIK combines the worlds he was brought up on to create his unique style.

“Am I punk? Am I funk? Am I hip hop or soul?” as one of his lyrics ring out, he ties in everyday struggles with a positive outlook. Lyrics like “so fight the good fight our worth is our right” and “everything is right where it should be” is an example of a light-hearted nature his music conveys.
Stream the new single from THECLETIK ‘I Found You” featuring Jay Tablet and Ze Rox. “I Found You” fuses hip-hop, pop, and soul to create an anthem that will surely become stuck in your head with one listen. From smooth, Prince-inspired vocal inflections to playful yet straight-to-the-point lyrical performances, “I Found You” introduces eclectic musical melodies through instrumentation with a seductive delivery and an electric vibe. Lyricism provided by Jay Tablet and vocals from Ze Rox take this tune over the top. Stay tuned for more music from THECLETIK dropping soon featuring Abstract Rude, Luckyiam, and more!

Francheyez - Federal Reserve Notes Vol. 2 (Mixtape) @Franch33zeworld

Bronx bomber Francheyez has been hard at work the past few years. Having dropped "Federal Reserve Notes Vol. 1" two years ago, the Rotten Apple lyricist has leveled up heavily since then. He linked up with the Grind Mode Cypher platform and has dropped numerous videos alongside acts such as Ren Thomas and Daylyt, to name a few. Holding his own on the mic, Francheyez garnered national attention as well as new fans and more respect. Now, the rhymer sets his sites on releasing the next installment in the "Federal Reserve Notes" series.

Consisting of 13 tracks in total, Francheyez offers up all original material, a couple of his popular loose singles as well as a few remix joints. Songs to definitely check for are "Man of the House", "Night Fall", "Doing Bad" and "Blame AmeriKKKa". Known for his witty metaphors and battle circuit verbiage, the BK spitter delivers solid Hip Hop material for his core fans. However, he also experiments with modern rap sounds as heard on tracks like "Goosebumps" and "Roll In Peace". This shows that Francheyez is able to adapt to the times if and when needed.

"Federal Reserve Notes Vol. 2" is also a precursor to warm up listeners to his upcoming project releases. Keep an eye out for his crew album entitled "Welcome to Cru York City" and his collab effort alongside Ren Thomas, "Disenfrancheyezed". Stay tuned for both project to drop while soaking in FRN Vol. 2. You can also catch Francheyez performing at this year's BK Hip Hop Fest in early July.

Izzy Strange - Televised (Video) @ishestrange

"Televised" by Izzy Strange was produced by Casa Nada and features singer Tahlyn. The song was inspired on Izzy's outlook with how people interact on social media. For better or worse, you can almost become someone else on the internet. People love to talk about others flaws while trying to conceal their own. All of sudden everyone has a voice and most people think their opinion needs to be heard. We’re an in instant gratification age and we’re just looking for people to entertain. Everyday people can now go viral over night.

The video concept is based off the fact that most things are done on the internet. Interactions, shopping, paying bills, etc. The way life is headed, it's now far-fetched for people to stop leaving their comfort zones all together. So in the video, the emcee puts on a performance to an empty venue while trying to bare his soul to the world. People are watching from their phones via Facebook Live while also engaging in their everyday activities.

"I feel like people’s attention span is rather low right now and they have trouble focusing on one thing even if it’s something they enjoy."
"Televised" is a loose single to keep fans tuned in while Izzy continues to work on his next full length album, The Die Is Cast". He plans to debut two more loose singles, one with Blu and another with Mick Jenkins. Expect the Blu featured "Just Me" single to premiere sometime in July. Alec Bolen - Rosewater (EP) @AlenBolec

Oregon emcee Alec Bolen's "Rosewater" EP was a full year in the making. The concept behind the project follows the story of a young man who meets and falls in love with a girl. The record then proceeds to go through the different phases of their relationship. Alec displays the sides of relationships that the ego exaggerates such as love, lust and infatuation. Bolen's creative process for the album was a bit unorthodox but a formula the budding lyricist fares quite well doing. The EP title, tracklisting and all beats were selected prior to the writing of it. The instrumentals selected are all in the ultra chilled lane. "Rosewater" is an album that caters to both Hip Hop enthusiasts and couples. Brud Giles recorded and mixed the project at Fremont Recording and Dana White from Specialized Mastering mastered everything.

"This album has been an elevating experience for me in every aspect for me as an artist. From song-writing to branding, this record is my first official release tha'ts mine and that, from me, is a statement saying “I’m here”. I’m not just trying to make music, I’m really trying to take this to the next level."

Seven tracks in total and containing the lead single "Autumn to Winter", Alec Bolen strays from the over-saturated turn up type of music. His laid back voice lays well over the beats choices. After a few spins thru, "Rosewater" has more than one main meaning behind it. After further examination, the meaning takes on a triple entendre that listeners need to decipher themselves. Quench your love thirst with a healthy dose of "Rosewater" on Spotify then stick around to view the official video behind "Autumn to Winter" following.

Kiyana + Rocko "This Habit"

Atlanta is making this track, their strip club anthem. It's well deserved. Their hometown princess, Kiyana, displays her R&B ability, with Rocko Da Don, spitting his verse equally raw.

"This Habit" is Kiyana's return from her round of hits dating back a few years ago - her previous single "Take Me Away" and "No Love" reached over 200K views. Her break consisted of writing for top R&B artists such as KeKe Palmer. The song was produced by SL Mistro.

ALEX D releases self produced single "RUN IT UP"

Miami native Alex D is set to make waves with his latest single “Run It Up”. Recently, the talented rapper/producer has been keeping himself busy recording and putting in work with some of South Florida’s most buzz-worthy artists, also producing tracks that feature MMG’s Bruno Mali, Tory Lanez, and Miami’s T-Ro.

He is also set to perform at Rolling Loud in Miami this May. As 2018 moves along, Alex D is definitely one of the names that the music industry should keep an eye on.

Dolla Black ft. Fred Nice - Money

Now we all know that cash isn't everything, but you certainly cannot live without it. Jackson, Mississippi's Dolla Black keeps this in mind as he releases his new summer single "Money". On the track, Dolla documents his hustler's mindstate and how focused he is on attaining the bag. The catchy single comes just in time for summer and is one that the accomplished MC feels is some of his best music yet.

Money is one of those records that I KNEW was gonna reach new levels when I put the final mix on it ... it had that feeling. Fred did the heavy lifting as far as the hook and concept and all I had to do was make sure to not drop the ball on the verses. Definitely one of my favorite to date. - Dolla Black

Joining Dolla on the record, is Oxford, Mississippi artist, Fred Nice, who also produces the single. It comes as the lead-off to the June 15th "Still Black" EP, which is to be distributed through LyfeStyle Entertainment, Bungalo Records and Universal Music Group.

Watts master emcee Libretto and Pittsburgh producer extraordinaire BusCrates join forces for their new collaborative 7” single, “Ain’t That Funky” b/w “Sentence.” The single, along with the forthcoming album, features Libretto’s commanding presence atop BusCrates signature chops and keyboard wizardry. Taiyamo Denku Ft Lil Kim & The Genius - "Fabulous Life" (Audio) @TaiyamoDenku

When it comes to speaking about life, we all have our own personal views of what success truly means. Some would say it's all about vast amounts of money while others would describe health, happiness and family. Whatever the case may be one thing is for sure, we all strive to lead a "Fabulous Life". Milwaukee based emcee Taiyamo Denku digs deep into this topic alongside Boston R&B vocalist The Genius and the notorious Queen Bee herself, Lil Kim.

Produced by Australian beatsmith, Dcypha, the Miami Vice sounding keys and crisp drums perfectly match the trio's verbal approach. Kim Jones delivers a verse that would make a young Lil Kim extremely proud. She even makes a reference to the revealing outfit she wore back in 1999 at the MTV VMAs. The Brooklyn femcee is still living fabulously with high end designer threads and her promiscuous word play.

Taiyamo approaches the track in two different ways. In his first verse, he rhymes about how money doesn't truly determine your social status. Denku is a hard working artist with hundreds of songs in the vault, some of which carry features from some of Hip Hop's biggest legends. He tours relentlessly and handles alot of his own promo. He lightly mentions these things in the song but it's his responsibilities as a father and as a true emcee of the culture that he values the most. His next verse finds Taiyamo in a reminiscent state of mind as he looks back at his accolades and finds true happiness in knowing he's had a long lived music career, albeit the vast amount of dollars.

"Fabulous Life" is the last single to be released from Denku's forthcoming album, "No Industry Standard". Previous singles included the lead off single featuring Conway The Machine titled "Be Who You Are" and the Psycho Lez produced "Stand Back". The album will also feature Chino XL, KRS One, Benny The Butcher and more. The album is currently available for pre-order on Bandcamp.

Listen To @StayAmplified's New Single "I Am"

As a perennial Van's Warped Tour veteran and experienced national touring alumni, Santa Cruz, California's Amplified has spent many of his formative years on the road. His new single "I Am" reflects on the growth he's discovered through that familiar state of motion, and after arriving home this spring from a two month long run with The Expendables, Amplified's found the best version of himself as an individual and creative artist.

With an anthemic chorus that showcases Amp's pop sensibility and textured vocal mastery, "I Am" is as much an assertion of Amplified's enterprising personality as it is a reminder of his limitless commercial cross-over potential. His usual melodic flow throughout each of his verses is embellished with more catchy harmonies and more well-placed ad-libs than ever, giving "I Am" the musical feel and detailed polish of a Billboard level production. Complementing the track's pop-influenced, grandiose, swirling soundscape is Amplified's authentic and highly personal song-writing style, defined by an acute self-awareness and emotional rawness that permeates each catchy melody. With every heartfelt line, "I Am" encapsulates the irresistible confidence of an artist who's discovered himself, and the powerful focus of young man determined to define his own path and follow his purpose.

Rapper @LandonWordswell Collabs With @DJSurebert For "The Numbers Game"

New duo, DJ Surebert and MC Landon Wordswell, are releasing the first official single from their forthcoming album, “The Numbers Game.” “The Numbers Game” isn’t just the title track, but reveals the ideas and spirit of the album. Michael Bernier brought a subtle reggae touch to the song adding to Surebert’s steely production and Wordswell’s rapid-fire rasp. Landon drew inspiration for the record from Michelle Alexander’s thought-provoking and critically acclaimed book, “The New Jim Crow.” Her ideas and influence are found both in Landon’s lyrical work and his live shows. Conceptually, the album weaves together stories of people affected by “The Numbers Game,” a never-ending cycle of discrimination and economic woes in the United States.
The Emcee has stated, “Corruption is everywhere. The schools, the mass incarceration systems, the justice systems, the hospitals. Every bit of our lives is being manipulated in the name of oppression. Classism is real. Racism is real. We are the culmination of America’s biggest fears and guilts. It’s not something to just talk about. It’s something to be about. Especially as an artist.”
Landon Worsdwell has hit the road often this year with the likes of Talib Kweli and Skyzoo. He’s been the frequent tour partner of Blackalicious’ own Gift of Gab and last year performed with The Legendary Artifacts on a European run as well as a tour with One Be Lo (Binary Star). The Emcee has his sights set on embarking on international travel even more to push the music and the message of “The Numbers Game.”
The Numbers Game is a Dual Project fully produced by Surebert (Portland, OR) and mixed and mastered by Landon’s trusted team of Carl Roe and D-Sane of Seattle, WA.
