Portland emcee Sourmouth is proud to present his full length sophomore LP, "A Million Little Pieces". The album consists of twenty-one songs in total and features fan favorites "Lost My Mind", the PDX anthem "In The Rose City" and the club smash, "Ayo". The project title and concept are loosely based around the controversial James Frey novel that was initial thought to be based on real life events, even being initiated into Oprah Winfrey's prestige book club. However, Frey's tale was exposed as being doctored which ultimately lead him to exile.

  Sourmouth uses "A Million Little Pieces" to tell his own life story, which shares striking similarities to Frey's tale and then some. Songs like "Because I'm Black", "Leave Him Behind" and "Watch My Temper" share personal moments and show a new side to his notoriously known shock rap approach. With the extensive tracklisting, there's a little something for everyone on "A Million Little Pieces". (Video)-@DaTBoYZ3L "Get Em" Shot By @Its_MyAmbitionN

Tennessee artist DaTBoYZ3L is back with a brand new, SoLoVisualz / Krayfilms directed visual to back his latest single, "Get Em". This is a follow up to his Calvin Ross assisted release, "Don't Be Afraid". In the video, we find the hungry emcee draped up in white and blue garments while marching down The Jackson Walk, which is located behind The Lift Center in Jackson. The beat selected for the audio single features crispy drums, organs, keys and a smooth synth arpeggio that is utilized in the verses and chorus. In the song, Z3L challenges fellow artists to step their bars up and to get back into pushing the envelope of song crafting in Hip Hop.

 Not only does DBZ "Get Em" but he is also joined by a cameo appearance from his mother and some innovative scenes featuring two, white masked females dancing in unison to the beat. Those two disguised ladies also happen to be Z3L's sisters. Incorporating family into the mix is always a plus and shows the song's ability to be received by a wide variety of listeners. "Get Em" will be featured on DBZ's upcoming, self titled EP. Watch the video below.

Sure, we’re halfway through the month of June, and it’s a little late to drop a Best of May playlist; but, I dropped the April mix 12 days into May, and it’s been streamed a record number of times. Not to mention that good music doesn’t get old — and we’ll revisit everything at the end of the year for the Top 100 of 2016. This month, we have another wide selection spanning the genre, including a number of songs from international artists; some guilty-pleasure bully rap; music for the advancement of our culture; a few pop-leaning head nodders; and that good-old boom bap. Continuing strong with their #YearOfTheOddz campaign is Chicago powerhouse imprint Seven Oddities Records with the second visual release from their "Out For Blood Vol. 3 (Chapter 2)" album where we witness crew member's Roy Hobes, Billie Dee Boodah & SaveOne transform into lyrical "Killing Machines". As with the initial video single "Standing On The Edge", 7oddz continues their avante garde approach. Vintage video reel edits are used alongside an animated, graffiti laced backdrop. We haven't really gotten an opportunity to hear much from these particular emcees on the OFB series, so it was a wise decision to put this single under the lens. "Killing Machines" can be viewed below.
