"You gotta be lit all year like it's the Summer, that's my Steelo" - Kidd Adamz
The EP is bright and festive, including egos and attitudes. The EP takes you on a trip of the hard and great times of the summer, a season that attracts everyone with high energy. Kidd snagged a few features for the EP including Billy Blue, Steph Lecor and Nenah Blaque (from the emerging group, The Stepsisters).
Kidd Adamz has been penned the "Joey Badass" of Miami. With Kodak Black and Zoey Dollaz on the rise in Miami, he's capturing a different audience with his unique sound. Adamz hails from the infamous Miami Gardens, where he grew up listening to Trick Daddy, JT Money, Rick Ross, Billy Blue and Slim Deisel. Around the age of 12, Adamz seriously started writing and producing, focused on improving his music skills. At 22, he's had 10 years to perfect his craft and is ready to share it with the world.
Right now, he's influenced by Tory Lanez, Gucci Mane, Pharell, Kanye West, Diplo, Calvin Harris, Timbaland, Major Lazor amongst many others.
"They collectively inspire me as a person with their legendary work ethics and the track sheet they've laid for themselves in the music business. It all intertwines with my passion for music and how prepared I feel."
- Kidd Adamz
Now, managed by Big Chuck from Poe Boy Records, Kidd Adamz has spent countless nights in the studio prepping his EP, Summer Camp Steelo.
"I called it this because everyone's usually very "high on energy" during the summer time." - Kidd Adamz
From Miami Gardens to freestyling on Sway in the Morning, music has become his undying drive. The experiences and people he meets in life help push his drive to a whole new level. He's created his own space in Hip-Hop meaning, there are no lanes for him. There's no reason why a Hip Hop artist cannot express themselves through sounds similar to R&B, Pop, Soul, Funk or Punk Rock. For Adamz, it's a vast open space.
