Penny Shaw (@lilpennyshaw) Releases Gripping Visuals for "Questions"

Earlier this year, Penny Shaw and ContraBAND released their collaboration entitled Ill City Blues. "Ill City Blues" is best described as cinema, in music form. It captures Penny's realism, his aspirations, as well as his vulnerabilities.

Those vulnerabilities are especially on display in "Questions," the project's intro track, where Penny feels powerless against his biggest opponent; doubt. Backed by eerie – yet head-knocking – production from ContraBAND, Penny navigates his way through the doubt of others as well as from within. Will he free himself of it? That’s the question.

ABOUT PENNY SHAW

A penny is one of the most disregarded forms of currency in our world today. They are often overlooked and considered as having low value or worth. We are all on a quest to find our own worth- some more than others. Combining the concept of a penny and keeping the roots of his family name, a star emerged. Born in Queens, New York when hip hop was just gaining momentum, Penny Shaw developed a love for the craft. He was able to gain recognition with his previous releases Good Morning and Soul Food. During the completion of Soul Food, he started working more with the production team ContraBAND.

In March 2016, Penny Shaw and ContraBAND released their collaboration entitled Ill City Blues. In it, Old Man Lebern is introduced, and his monologs serve as narration to deepen the significance behind each track.

His music has been featured on "Single Ladies" (VH1), "Follow the Rules" (MTV) and "American Crime" (ABC). Penny has also been making his rounds along the east coast
