Skipp Coon is a husband, father, son, visual and performing artist. His world is colored brightly, in shades of red, black and green. Skipp is a native of Jafrica (aka Jackson). He is a by-product of growing up in Mississippi, a state with rich history, deep pain and great potential.
He is also a part of a powerful movement formed in Jackson headed by a core collective of leaders that call themselves the Jackals. Skipp delivers an eclectic glimpse into the mind of a visionary totally locked in on his target over gritty and experimental production that lays a vivid landscape for his outright dope lyrical skills.
Whether you are black, white, yellow, red, or blue, the perception displayed here by Mississippi native, Skipp Coon, is sure to open your mind to the reality that the leaders of our future are among us today live and well, they just face never before seen censoring in a world bent on pushing an agenda that promotes negativity. Be sure to spread this music if you are here for the real side of the "music industry" and the individuals who are the foundation of the future in black music.
