vitamin-cea-just-released-joyfull-perfection

Vitamin Cea is back with her The Walls Group-sampling single "JoyFull Perfection". The Mississippi-born femcee continues to show her versatility by taking this opportunity to release a song that could very easily fall into the gospel genre. She lays strong verses centered around her flaws and relationship with God, with a melodic chorus adding to the song's aura. Joining her on the record with background vocals is Mastad0n, NeoSoooul and Elias. Listen now and if you like what you hear check out her website
www.TheVitaminCea.com for more music and information on Vitamin Cea ahead of her debut project "JoyFull Noise"

Bio

Birthed in the deep south, Vitamin Cea is one of Mississippi’s newest acts but one that possess the talent to stick to your soul. Taking inspiration from artists like Chance The Rapper, Noname, Anderson .Paak, Rapsody and others Cea hangs her hat on a sound rooted in honesty, soul and overall good vibes. She saturates her melodic bars in stories of lessons and memories just as often as she rhymes about her confusion, adoration, and disdain for the world around her. Her artistry is apparent as she is a rapper who takes pride in the art of writing in its purest form and it shows in her elaborate usage of literary devices in every song. Rappers come and go but Vitamin Cea is here to prove that she, just as many emerging artists from Mississippi, is here to cultivate the culture and make her name known.

Phenomenal (@BigEarsGlenn) - "January" (Mixtape)

For the project, he lands a nice round of features including Mr. Muthafuckin eXquire, Johnny Watkins, Young Dirty Bastard and more. For the production side of things, P leans towards Paperwave and Soma for a good number of tracks. For the Olivia Riggio-assisted "January 64", he even provides a self-produced beat for the number. Jayryde & Lil Sleep Da King Drop Video "AYE"

St. Louis-based rap duo, Jayryde & Lil Sleep Da King, welcome their new video for the buzzing and banging "AYE" (produced by Sherlock) Being widely respected for their lyricism, wittiness, and overall production style, the Lou rappers don't disappoint us on this record, albeit the just over 3 minute song seems to be over to soon, in my opinion. But after listening to it a few times, you realize the settings best suited for this mix between a party anthem and trap chant. The first verse is manned by Lil Sleep Da King, whose charismatic flow and vivid lyrics, jumpstart the record by providing an in-your-face view into the lifestyles of the rappers. Da Phenom, Jayryde, effortlessly finishes up "AYE" by calmly corroborating Lil Sleep's claims of lavishing living and power moves, with a southern-draw-dripped verse that sums up the fact they live this life every day, not when they can.

jayryde-lil-sleep-da-king

AYE is one of those tracks that translate well from car to the club. That dirty piano lends enough grit and edginess to the production which also features synths, snappy high hats, and boomin' 808, that it almost puts you in a slight trance. This record will be one of the many hot songs found on Jayryde & Lil Sleep Da King's forthcoming EP, "High Definition 2."

Jayryde & Lil Sleep Da King are on a mission to bring more attention to the St. Louis music scene by consistently releasing quality music and building loyal fans and working closely with the local DJs and other movers and shakers, who have been rocking with the group for almost a decade now.

Although they both hold down unique styles and approaches to writing songs, they are truly a dynamic clique when they join they their talents and produce songs together like "AYE," "Commas Out The Bando," and "Stripper Tricks," which do not totally define the group but are solid examples of their musical prowess.

Check out the video for "AYE" below and let us know what you think of the song and of Jayryde & Lil Sleep Da King.

@KrisKasanova releases a new visual, “Always Something”

kris-kasanova-releases-video-for-always-something

Fresh off a stacked week of performances at SXSW, Kris Kasanova released a new visual, “Always Something”. The title track of his recently released EP, the Brooklyn emcee takes us from the entrancing audio to a heavily contrasted trip to a therapy session. A detour from Kasanova's cinematic videos, “Always Something” forces a visual metaphor of Kris as an inkblot while sharing the losses that are stunting his growth as an emcee.

“The only thing that doesn't work, is not working. So I'm gonna keep pushing” says Kris about his career.

Pushing through is the theme of his Always Something EP, a collection of relatable stories of discomfort, chaos and undeniable hustle. Thus far, it's being celebrated by Kasanova fans as his best work and since its debut, has landed him on the highly coveted mic at Sway in the Morning, and the REVOLT stage.
