Dubble-OO SpaceAge - Next Level

dubble-oo-spaceage-next-level-album-artwork
SF/PDX artist Dubble-OO SpaceAge returns to the forefront with his new album, Next Level, after a brief hiatus from recording following the death of his musical mentor The Jacka. Available on LiveWire Records and distributed by Empire, Dubble-OO SpaceAge drops off 13 new joints for his fans who have been patiently waiting to hear from him. Tapping the talents of J-Stalin, Husalah, and Mikey Vegaz - DubbleOO keeps guest appearances to a minimum on this new project and it's obvious he's had a lot on his chest to get off.

Leading off the album with "M.I.P. (Mob In Peace) is an introspective tribute to The Jacka over spacey synth work and laid back drum work, setting the tone perfectly for the rest of the project. Dubble-OO SpaceAge possesses the rawness and hustle of an underground rapper, smooth game of an East Oakland pimp, but also has the ear for production that can give his music a more commercial appeal; packed with hard hitting drums and huge 808's. A tribute to the Thizz Nation and OG's of the Bay area scene, Next Level also adds new trap elements to keep everything updated to a 2016 sound.

It's been a minute since we've heard from Dubble-OO SpaceAge and we have a lot to catch up on. Be sure to check out the official video for Nas No Speed Limit, and Purchase/Stream Dubble-OO SpaceAge's new album Next Level below.

@tyfarris1 "Feel Nothing" Prod By @iamtrox | VIDEO

ty-farris-feel-nothing-video
Detroit artist Ty Farris link ups with Kid Vishis for "Feel Nothing," the first official release from the upcoming collaborative album Room39, produced entirely by Portland producer Trox (50 Cent, Ab-Soul). First discovered by the late, great Proof, of D12, after battling his way through the streets of the D, Ty Farris has long been known as a hidden gem of the Detroit scene, but with his new album locked and loaded the sky's the limit for Ty's future.

Room39 features former Little Brother member Big Pooh, Detroit legend/Slaughterhouse member Royce Da 5'9, and more. Shot and directed by FrostIsRad, "Feel Nothing" is raw and gritty with Farris and Kid Vishis trading verse over the hard hitting production. Mark your calendars for Room39, as Ty's unique sound and introspective storytelling mixed with Trox's outstanding production should make for a match made in hip-hop heaven.

DANIELSEVENTWO - Priceless (Prod by D. Pilkington)

danielseventwo-priceless-video

Portland's DANIELSEVENTWO returns with new music fresh off of his Teddy Walton collab, "Nowadays." This time connecting with Denver-based producer, D. Pilkington, Daniel continues to elevate and switch up styles on the new smoked out joint, "Priceless." Going hard in the new year, 72 might be an early candidate for most improved player of 2017.

Letting listeners know his time is "Priceless", Daniel addresses the girls wasting his time and fake homies a young artist encounters navigating through the rap game. Recently touching stages in his hometown of PDX, it doesn't look like the work is stopping anytime soon from DANIELSEVENTWO.

@peterjamesmusic - "The Cycle Tape" (EP)

After carving a name for himself among the Boston underground Hip Hop scene as one half of Lodus Dei, Peter James switches gears to becoming a solo act and debuts "The Cycle Tape". Oozing with intensive tales and vintage-based instrumental candy for the ear, the six track effort embodies what Hip Hop is all about, speaking about the pitfalls of life in its rawest form. "Trigger Happy" and "Crack Fien Dreamz" are prime examples of James' sharp storytelling skills. Peter is a hybrid emcee, crossbred by artists such as Canibus, Biggie and Logic. "The Cycle Tape" is sure to put the Beanstown lyricist on the map. Kiara Simone' - Mo' Money (Produced By Zaytoven)

Alexandria, VA artist Kiara Simone is making noise this year. She recently toured with The Game and then dropped this smash new single "Mo Money" produced by Zaytoven.

While on tour with The Game, Kiara continued to record and linked up with some of today’s hottest producers including Zaytoven, 1500 or Nothin’, Cassius Jay, Bobby Kritical, 808 Mafia, and Dem Jointz, to name a few.

Kiara is boldly making her mark in the music industry as a trailblazer for women’s empowerment in a male-dominated world. Don’t let her gorgeous face and snatched body fool you! Kiara’s gritty delivery, honest lyrics and inspirational story of rising from immense pain and struggle to follow her dreams, make her stand out from the rest. “Nothing is fake about my music. I don’t make it up...what you hear in my music is ME. I’ve been through a lot and no one from where I’m from has made it this far. If I can do it, you can do it too. My music is about empowering women to be strong minded and feel like they can achieve anything on their own, without being so dependent on men,” states the rising star. Kiara first tapped into her musical talents at age 14 when she spit a verse by Lil Mama from her song “Shawty Get Loose,” as her phone’s voice message recording. Her older sister Shawnta heard it, said her delivery was dope and encouraged her to try out her own original music.

From that point on, Kiara started writing her own rhymes and practicing her craft. In a tragic turn of events, her beloved sister was shot and killed in PG County, leaving Kiara heartbroken. Her life changed forever and two years later, after trying to cope without her sister being around, she reached a breaking point where she wanted to completely give up on everything. “When I’m not where I want to be, I feel pointless. All I had was music...I wanted to give up, but I couldn’t. When you want something that bad, you’re going to do whatever it takes to get it. I had to do it for my family to help change their situation, and I knew I was the way out,” Kiara reminisces.

Miami's Ghost Drops a Visual for "Nina's Son"

ghost-ninas-son-video

From cartoons & crack to a beautiful Miami Beach view, Nina's oldest son Ghost takes you on an emotional front-seat view of his story & the depth it took him to reach his current state.... watch the full-length video below

ghost-in-leather-jacket-and-sunglasses

Meet Ghost. Not the supernatural entity or the street lord of Showtime's POWER, but the artist. The rap world knows him as Ghost, but personal associates call him Roderick Harris, Jr. Roderick was born in Bryan, Texas, in the dangerous community "Kurrupt City." His vivid lyrics will haunt your thoughts, as he shares his life and experience with his music.

Despite being born to parents Nina Goosby and NFL player Rod Harris Sr, Roderick Jr. found himself in a single parent household raised by his entire family. With a younger brother born with half a lung, Roderick Jr. naturally became the protector of his siblings. When his parents did a short bid in jail, it was that moment, Roderick Jr. decided to get his family out of the hood.

Inspired by Tupac's song, "Ghost" - Roderick took on the moniker but gave it a different meaning. Motivated by Psalm 124, Ghost stands for "God's Human Outlaws Striving Together. Ghost received words of encouragement from Shawty Redd and Scott Storch that kept him focused and driven. With that, he began pursuing his dream.
Now living in Miami, FL, he launched LifeArtMusic Group. The company currently manages various artists including Ghost himself. In 2016, he graced SXSW and recorded enough material for a stash of mixtapes. As Ghost puts it, “the proof is in the pudding”, and he will be serving all of this content Spring 2017.

His first EP and title track “Nina’s Son” is being released January 17th. Ghost’s album titled “Kurrupt City” will be released in March during SXSW 2017.

New Video: VS - Murder She Wrote

Check out the newest visual release entitled "Murder She Wrote" off VS's latest mixtape project "R.O.M. Vol. 1.5 - Before The Honeymoon". Once again he collaborated with director Phil Gates & the Highpower Studios team. They helped in developing the concept to visually capture this emotional tale of addiction. In most cases, an addiction seduces you with its sweet temptations & leaves you with a bitter taste when indulged in the wrong way.

This kind of sums up my bittersweet feelings for rap & hip-hop at the moment. If you fall in love with the vain parts of the game, it can turn you out & cause you to lose focus on what really matters. There is no love in the music business & you have to learn to keep those addictions at bay.
