Jackson, Tennessee's DaTBoYZ3L put in some solid work all throughout 2016. He released his debuted album "Datboy" along with a slew of videos releases to accompany the project. Having collaborated with fellow Jackson natives Calvin Ross, CA$H, 2j and M.I.N.D., Z3L proved he has strong determination and a knack of creating catchy hits. Once again linking up with video director SoLo Visualz, they present the official video for the CA$H assisted "Ransom" single.

The video starts off with newsreel footage of the late/great Dr. Martin Luther King and rolls over into a quick intro where we find Z3L taking up multiple character roles. This also shows his acting abilities and provides a good laugh in parts of the visual. Thru the video, you'll quickly learn not to play games when it comes to DaTBoY's money. Deuce Ellis - 'Experiments in Electricity' Instrumental Album

 

Deuce Ellis announces his new self-produced album "An Electric Ride" by rolling out what he calls an open source instrumental project titled "Experiments in Electricity." Production for the entire concept began late August 2015, right after his girlfriend and creative partner Jenna's bday, months before the couple would move to Hawaii. An Electric Ride is a concept album telling the stories of passengers on a funky intergalactic train traveling the cosmos to arrive at the final destination in the Universes most exciting city "Electric City."

Deuce drew inspiration for the project from the work and ideas of Nicola Telsa and Joseph Campbell's "Hero With A Thousand Faces" which also inspired George Lucas' "Star Wars". #TheCult leader collaborated with Jenna's design firm TeethRatedR for the art direction of the project. With "Experiments in Electricity" Deuce aims to begin to paint the sonic picture to the world he's creating, while also inviting other MCs & artists to share and contribute their own unique visions.

@wavegangkidvibe Ft Red & @king_tazer - "Relax" (Shot By @AWashington__)

In anticipation of his upcoming EP arriving on December 20th, Madison emcee Kid Vibe leaks out an A. Wash visual alongside Red and King Tazer urging viewers to kick back, subtract the drama and "Relax". An obvious smoker anthem, Kid and company offer up reefer infused lyricism with a splash of braggadocios swag. The Midwest connection is really felt by Vibe linking with Chicago video director, Arrisa Washington. She is able to bring the chilled vibe to the big screen while using red light filters and soft animated edits.

"Relax" is a great introduction to those unfamiliar to Kid Vibe and the Wave Gang collective. Producers Vibez & Vela utilize a live-sounding drum arrangement over keys layered with horns and choral samples. Sit back, roll up, press play and just "Relax" to the melody as presented by Kid Vibe.

 

@tweezedoitez - "Parallel Universes" (EP)

North Carolina's Tweeze aka Twee-ze follows up his previously released "Who Cares" project with the eight track EP, "Parallel Universes". The album features the breakout hit, "Carolina Schemin'", a collab effort with Soul singer, CandaceK. For those unfamiliar to Tweeze's discography, his unique vocal tone consists of a distinct southern drawl full of a variety of harmonies.

He has a very chilled, laid back sound that will appeal to smokers and Hip Hop heads alike. Check songs like "Forest Fires" and "Hermetic Dreams" for prime examples to that statement. The theme behind this particular project is a parallel universe version of Tweeze, think of Jet Li's "The One" movie for a better visual understanding. Penny Shaw (@lilpennyshaw) Releases Gripping Visuals for "Questions"

Earlier this year, Penny Shaw and ContraBAND released their collaboration entitled Ill City Blues. "Ill City Blues" is best described as cinema, in music form. It captures Penny's realism, his aspirations, as well as his vulnerabilities.

Those vulnerabilities are especially on display in "Questions," the project's intro track, where Penny feels powerless against his biggest opponent; doubt. Backed by eerie – yet head-knocking – production from ContraBAND, Penny navigates his way through the doubt of others as well as from within. Will he free himself of it? That’s the question.

@TaiyamoDenku Ft @knowshun - "CannonHands" Produced By @dcypha (Audio)

In a time where the art form of emceeing and battling seems to be slipping away, artists such as Taiyamo Denku & Knowshun emerge from the ashes, torch in hand, to carry on the tradition of true Hip Hop. Treating the microphone as if it were a firearm, the pair hop onto a sinister Dcypha production titled "CannonHands". Drawing inspiration from their prior battle circuit days; Denku, Cypha and Knowshun perform as if their very lives were on the line.

Cypha Den Music, a label started by Taiyamo Denku and Dcypha, has been on a barrage of nonstop releases in 2016. In late July they launched "Gutter Noise", a crew record featuring newly inked members, L. Majestic and Rambunxious. Then in mid-September, fans were treated to a visual portrayal of "Life Like This" featuring CDM artist Urban Legend and Mobb Deep affiliate, Big Twins.

To know Smoke Bulga, you have to go back to where it all began. Born Allen Keon Lee, Smoke was raised in Boston’s south end and Dorchester, MA. When asked who the hottest MC is in the Boston hip-hop scene, one name constantly arises, "Smoke Bulga”.

In 2008, he signed a major record deal with Epic/Sony and was recognized by national magazines including XXL and The Source as a new artist to watch. With limited historical Boston artist success, it seemed as though Smoke defeated the odds by putting his city on the map and created a gateway for all Boston artists. BET's One Shot Winner III (@numeral3) Drops New Mixtape, "Third Chapter"

III is the winner of BET's first-ever talent competition, One Shot. One Shot had over 10,000 rappers come out to audition + compete for $100,000 & A Record Deal. One Shot featured weekly guest judges such as T.I., DJ Khaled, RZA, DJ Drama, Tech N9ne, Twista & Remy Ma. The main judges were KXNG CROOKED, King Tech, Mike Smith, as well as host Sway Calloway.

During the show, III was able to collaborate with certified platinum producer DJ Pain 1 on two tracks which helped push him to his victory. Shooting a video for "Ferrari," III painted a graphic visual which was able to captivate the audience. "Payoff" was his final performance, in which he dressed as Jesus and had a full choir assisting with the hook. His final performance was enough to push him ahead and crown him the champion of One Shot.

III's ideas and creativity are one of a kind, and you can hear that throughout "Third Chapter."

@Official_Juko Just Won Halloween With A Costume For His Haters

Remember the scene in "Eight Mile" when Em hits the stage and owns it with his tales of growing up as poor white trailer trash? Lafayette's Yung Juko decided to laugh right along with his haters for Halloween this year and give 'em exactly what they asked for. Juko is afflicted with the congenital birth defect Spina Bifida, which causes a curvature of the spine. Most afflicted children never walk and those that do have a very pronounced limp caused by their uneven spinal cord. Defying all odds, Juko is not only walking, but writing and performing great music and you'd think people could ride with that.

Sadly, the peanut gallery that troll the comments sections instead decided to dub him 'the 5th Ninja Turtle - N*ggatello'. OUCH! Not one to take life too seriously, Juko decided to have a little fun and do a photo shoot his fans AND haters could enjoy. Gotta love a person who can laugh at themselves. Meanwhile back at the ranch, "Pray For Me" is picking up nicely at radio and the video, just 3 weeks old, has over 34,000 views. Check it out below.
